Our travels from England have covered many miles with our 1st port of call to our friends Hans and Monique in Holland, visitors to Aus some 7yrs ago. We made a promise to visit them should we ever be in Europe. A fun time seeing slides of their travels. Our travels from England have covered many miles with our 1st port of call to our friends Hans and Monique in Holland, visitors to Aus some 7yrs ago. We made a promise to visit them should we ever be in Europe. A fun time seeing slides of their travels. Then off to Germany following the Rhine. A night camping and not too much sleep, trains, cars, truck, river barges. Busy, busy, busy. Head to Switzerland. Had a close call with a Fiat Panda, left a mark on the panniers. Nice ride through the Black Forest. Alaska travellers Christoph & Sylvia showed us Swiss hospitality with a tour to Grindelwald. The roads were fun, the cheeses tasty. Saw great slides of Alaska, still our favourite spot. A 4.5kg Toblerone. Then we headed to see the part time Aussies Manfred and Reggie. More great Swiss Hospitality and some slides on Aus. Almost forgot what it looked like. Four mountain passes and in to Italy. Met up with John Leonard at a restaurant in the foothills of the Dolomites. A Laverda meet was on, had a great time, pasta, red wine. A day trip to Venice, saw the Gondala Regatta, lucky us. South to Rome then a quick trip to the Bol D'or 24hr bike race. Sorry Alan & Trish, we didn't see you. Heading for France. Love Carol & Ken
