I live in Idaho, and during the winter we are subject to snow and ice on the roads and periods of freezing fog.

My job allows me to work remotely from anywhere in the world. So i did the only logical thing, travelled from Sweden to California, USA and bought a new V-Strom 650xt 2018.

My wife and I have been on the road for over 2 and a half years 2Up and Overloaded. We have expored the Americas in all of thier wonders, and are now in Africa slowly making our way up to Europe.

There're some excellent overlanding stories with awesome content here on HUBB and on the net, and you may be rightfully asking yourself: "Why another one?"

We started our adventure in West Africa with our 250 cc motorcycles! Eventually we passed 33 countries in Africa, riding our Honda CRF250L and made 50.000 km in 20 months.

Back in January 2019 I shipped by bike from Cape Town, South Africa, to Montevideo, Uruguay. I wanted to ride to Ushuaia and see Patagonia. Everything back home is sold.

This is a shake down activity, Both for driving the bike and trying to write a story.

I will give some background, Tell about plans and describe the outcome.
