Two days to get back home. Cariamanga, Macara, Machala, Quito.
Country
Back in Ecuador we feel almost at home.
First we rode to Macará to legalize the bikes in the Peruvian customs, they understood that there were no customs offices in the border that we used to enter Ecuador (Espindola – Jimbura). We did both procedures: Customs and immigration in both countries without problems.
All the way to Machala with an enjoyable walk in “Puyango Petrified Forest”.
We had been dreaming of a good meal for days, Peruvian cuisine is very well known and great but not where we went… I had the best Ecuadorian shrimp and black shell Ceviche and breaded shrimps in my favorite spot in Machala / Puerto Bolivar, restaurant Nuevo Edén, recommended.
Next day, beautiful ride to Riobamba, great views of Chimborazo, the highest mountain of Ecuador and after 520km with no rain and a lot of sunshine we were received in Quito by the complete family, what a blessing…
Twelve amazing days with two of my sons and our three bikes, Thanks God for everything, Thanks Ale for being always by my side.
Thanks for posting - sounds like a great trip
