Getting Ready

This is the first of many entries. So some introduction is required.
SmokeyD is Eric Dahan (Montreal, Canada) and G-Money is Gaby Berelovich (also from Montreal). The nicknames are based on historical events. SmokeyD originated from Eric's perpetual smoke bombs in High School, although presently stands for his significant smoking capabilities. As for my nickname, the G is for Gaby while the Money is for dependability. I'm money baby!
Anyways (by the way you'll see "anyways" alot in our blog, I can't stop with those), I've recently quit my career as a Business Analyst/ IT Consultant and am ready to explore. While SmokeyD is an entrepreneur with a wholesale business that is primarily funding this trip. Thank GOD!
We'll be staring from Los Angeles and heading south. That's about all we're sure off. We've only planned out the first week of the trip, which is to make it to Sayulita (close to Puerta Vallarta) by November 21st. By the way, "planned" should be taken very loosely.
Now its time to get to the bikes. This is a blog on the best Motorcycle Travellers site so we must describe the bikes. We'll both be riding newly (2006) purchased KLR 650's. These bikes are like beasts. Unfortunately, our bikes look like twins, the only bike feauture which will look different will be the handguards. Smokey's bike will have silver guards, while mine will have black guards.
That's it for now. Next entry will probably describe all the mods we're doing to the KLR's. It's time to get ready for a very busy day.
