DAY TWO
Day Two 30 Aug 08
St Omer - Orleans, France
Miles to date 451
Today started well enough, F1 breakfast, warm but overcast weather and two rested riders? The first thing we did was to go somewhere we didn't mean to, now't new there then. Not lost just confused. The target was Rouen, the route?.............we went for the sat nav, only we (I) had told it NO paege, high ways or motorways. We got some great sight seeing in, single track farm lanes, "James Bond" bends and some practice for the dodgey stuff to come, 50 mile's, 2 'n' a bit hours later we got to the out skirts of Rouen. Sorted eh? to be fair Mike was happy with that but me, mr annul, I had it in my head we would do 250 a day on "driving day's" in Europe and at that pace we would be lucky to see 150. I 'can' be a pain it is said.
Still we did about 270mls. as it turns out in some sunny warm weather, Mike took it well, at least he hasn't hit me.............yet!
Tomorrow le Puy-en-velay and beyond
Tonight we are in an F1 again and this one has working WiFi.
