DAY SIX

Day Six 3rd September 08

Millau - Arles

miles 1024

This morning we wake to a dry day but still some moistior in the air from the mist that lingers, no worries it slows down the departure but we are in no hurry realy. Tents away and neighbours dog patted on the head we leave at around 11:30 to visit the underside of the bridge and find a café for breakfast. Well that didn't happen quit that way, did it, no. We stop for gas and Denis say's you have an idea what you want so you lead, then take's over the lead about 50 yards before we are to turn of to an observation air and look at the bridge...............he's away! So we turn of up to the obbo post, bit naughty but he finds us and all is well. That bridge is one awsome piece of engineering! Anyway, of to the super marché for a bite to eat and away at around 13:30 down to the Med coast, no real idea where just South East ish. Thanks to Denis for a great two and a bit days, a fine host he is.
The rain did threaten us a couple of times an the wind is a bu...r but he road from Millau to Arles holds some fantstic views, both the old section from Millau, along the "Gorge de Tarn" to the A75 and the new motorway itself. Still not been over the bridge though, one day 'A' but I have seen it now.
We had hoped to do the Mont Blanc tunnel but that was just to far North so South we came.

Tommorrow Monaco I hope, lets just wait eh? Do you think they would close the roads for us to do one lap............nah!

Camping at Camping City on the edge of Arles, about 1500 mtrs out of town its good.
