Before starting the trip we asked a few companies, if they were interested in supporting our activity. In return, we offered to but their link on our blog and to write about their product and its use.

The first to favourably answer our request was Reise-Know-How, a German publishing house for travel guides and maps. They offered to supply us with their rip- & waterproof maps for all Central and South American countries. In return we are asked to send them our GPS-tracks and include some information on street conditions and interesting sites on the road.
For communication outside of our radios’ range we plan to use some mobile phones. To have some reliable triple band phones, Sonim supplied us with two of their XP1. Those phones are almost indestructible.
PacSafe provided us with two lockable Stuffsacks and two small bags to secure the helmets in a waterproof manner to the bikes. This will ease parking the bikes in crowded or somehow unsafe areas while walking around interesting sites.
