We had to go back up to the Border to get our Visa renewed. Visa's for Thailand only last 14 days now, which is a pain...
But a chance for us to see Chiang Rai, the Golden Triangle and of course the Opium Museum, which was very interesting.

The town of Mae Sai on the Border to Myanmar blew us away, we did not expect a big border town with such a lot of Chinese Merchandise, incredible.
We did the Border run or walk, as we had to walk across the Bridge, pay 500 Bath for Myanmar, than back to Thailand and voila another 14 day visa.

The day after we headed back to Chiang Mai, to pick up our Indian Visa and to talk to Elena from the Chiang Mai Mail. I contacted her and she was happy to talk to us and publish our travel story and to bring awareness of Breast Cancer. I'm very exited about that. Mark really wanted to go and see the Tiger's and I'm glad we did they are beautiful animals.

We needed to leave Chiang Mai and make our way down to Bangkok and to get the Bike organized to fly to Nepal, before the Visa runs out again.
On the way south we stopped at the white Temple, really something else, not same same, it sparkled in the sunlight like a brilliant white Diamond......

It was good to leave the smoke from the Bush Fires behind and to breath again.

It started to get very chaotic as we came into Bangkok, 6 lines of traffic . Mark very cool, even if it was boiling, driving on the big Highway, didn't see any other bikes, just as I pointed it out, we got stopped by the Cops and made to leave this lovely Highway. No fine this time.......
With a bit more sweat and patient we made it to a Hotel with parking for the Bike.

Next day we went across town on the Bus to see Kittima from TAC Shipping Company, had to sort out all the papers, she said to come back in a few days with the Bike, can't wait to drive through the whole city, the Bike needs to be measured so a timber crate can be build.

We are champions, didn't got lost ones, with instruction from the back, we made it to the TAC Building.
Mark did take of the front wheel and the panniers to reduce the volume.
Come back next day to pack it, she said.
The crate was ready, 5 men lifted her on, strapped her down, but all the gear in, glad wrapped her and nailed the sides on top on. Taken half a hour.

The Bike will fly on Thursday the 19/3/08 to Kathmandu and we fly the day before.

Now it was time to do sight seeing in Bangkok.
Thanks Wendy for the Tip to go on the River Ferry for the day and hop on and of where you like. Did a whole lot in one day like the reclining Buddha, China Town Down Town, the Oriental Hotel and a night cruise on the way back.

Getting to know are way around Bangkok and don't find it so overwhelming anymore, also been siting in parks and just enjoy it.

No Ping Pongs on Pangpong but plenty of other night life.
