Left Cape Town with Gavin and Karin at 14h00, via N1 and Dutoitskloof, where the first lesson in how not to park a bike took place at top of the Pass. Finally got the (very overloaded) Dakar up to 120km/h after Worcester... Humans refuelled in Robertson (quite good coffee, actually); bike refuelled in Ashton. Arrived Swellendam around 6, where we had prebooked our overnight stop at Roosje van de Kaap. Have decided to ship panniers back from here - bike WAYYYYYYY too heavy, so the tent, tools etc going home!! Will relook at packing and what is essential or not when arrice at Marloth Park House next week. About to have supper at Roosje... thats it for now
