Blue Ridge Parkway

Stretching from Waynesboro, Virginia in the north to Cherokee, North Carolina in the south, the Blue Ridge Parkway is a meandering, scenic ride through the Appalachian Mountains. The Parkway meanders for 469 miles, protecting a diversity of plants and animals, and providing opportunities for enjoying all that makes this region of the country so special. There are campgrounds and lodges with restaurants along the way, as well as many scenic turnouts and overlooks. For fuel, you'll need to plan ahead and come down from the Parkway to a local community in the valley.
