Border Crossings

Date of update

Dale and I had already had a wonderful ride to Deadhorse Alaska and back. We are both married with families and jobs so we hade to wait a year and a half to continue the adventure. We left on December 21, 2001. What follows are an account of our ride to the tip of South America. The only miles we didn't ride was from Panama City to Bogatta, Colombia. I estimated that to be about 500 miles. I wouldn't go to Bogatta again and will explain why in this account.

Date of update

After Getting separated from Dale and I, our third riding partner, Kevin comtinued on to see Tikal and Belize then rode up the east coast of mexico. Following is his email from 12/31/2001Well - I got such a good response to the last email, I thought I’d send another. I think I’ll start with the part that I left out the last time. You see, I crossed the jungle of Guatemala under the light of a full moon. It wasn’t the best idea l’ve ever had.
