Canadian Trip ii Alberta - BC
Follow this story by emailWed 1 July
It rained all night but we were able to have a reasonable shower in the cowboy boys hut - we had quite a fiasco sorting out the waste water for the first time (some canadian guy assisted us) Jerry got a little messed up to say the least!
PHOTOS :- RIVER CLEARWATER & THE MAJOR JUNCTION (A LITTLE CONCERNED ROAD MIGHT GET WORSE)
Endeavoured to take the shortest route to Nordegg but after lunch en-route decided to go via Caroline.
Stopped for night approx 10 kms from Nordegg at Shunda Creek.
Jerry did 242 Kms.

Lunched overlooking Hector Lake, arrived Lake Louise and paid visit to info area and topped up provisions.
VERY QUIET LAYBY HALF WAY UP TO LAKE MORRAINE
Journeyed up to Morraine Lake but found it way too crowded there to be able to park for night (came half way back down road to a lay-by. Half way through the night we moved back down road to Lake Louise car park as I got cold feet about bears (we were the only ones parked in lay-by).
Dave did 205 Kms.
Fri 3 July
Got up at 6am as we might get nicked for parking in carpark at supermarket.
PHOTO - LAKE LOUISE CAR PARK - EARLY BREAKFAST.
Beautiful start to the walk.
Awesome scenery.
Two & half hours later we reached the Tea Hut.
Had a bite & a drink.
Fantastic Tea Hut.
Howdy cowboys - perfect place for riding.
Amazingly the walk was only 8 miles return but Jerry on getting back to the carpark was limping really badly (trapped nerve perhaps?)
Proceeded to Wilcox Site where we undertook pumpout to grey & black and filled up with fresh water, we ate at the Icefield Centre - quite an experience.
Jerry did 153 Kms.
