Sat 11 July 15

Pumped out waste & took freshwater on board, then had a shower at Gnome's.

Made for Bella Coola and purchased provisions (we had a meal in the supermarket car park).

After elevenses drove down to dock where it started raining. Unfortunately learnt no ferry available till 18th September!! Dissappointing, would have been fascinating seeing the oceans mammals.

Observed seals in water and back at downtown Bella came across bald headed eagle looking out across river.

Stopped at Riprap Campsite opposite last night's stay, with (would you believe it) intention of attending sunday service at little wooden church (dated 1902) across road. (Dave's idea).

Jerry did 40 Kms.

Sun 12 July 15

Showered at Riprap campsite (it rained all night). Attended 10.30 mass @ Augsburg United Church, we were made very welcome & both enjoyed it (we even went & had cake & coffee after the service & we both had interesting chats with the locals - well worth a visit.

RIPRAP CAMPSITE FIRST THING

Took on fuel and made for Williams Lake up dirt road. Stopped overnight on summit of Bella Coola hill.

A STOP MORE OR LESS HALF WAY UP BELLA COOLA HILL.

Jerry did 100 Kms.

Mon 13 July 15

BREAKFAST AT BELLA COOLA HILL

Left Bella Coola Hill after heavy rainy night. Journeyed onwards on dirt road (the way we came in as Bella Coola is a cul-de-sac). Arrived Bull Canyon approx 3pm & had a very pleasant stroll along river trail beside River Fraser in full flow & stayed night on campsite.

BULL CANYON

Tues 14 July 15

Journeyed onward along 20, stopped for propane gas @ Alexis Creek (the guy who did this was really laid back and easy going), then enjoyed coffee at Doodle Bugs (served by a tall American Indian girl). Bought toilet rolls & razor blades at general store.

ONE OF THE MANY LOGGING TRUCKS ON "20".

Travelled on to Williams Lake took on fuel and journeyed to Ranch 108, booked horse riding for 9am tomorrow. Then had a wander locally & found this very strange but large golfing complex & restaurant.

OBSERVING DEER AT OUR STOP FOR NIGHT.

Jerry did 207 Kms.

Wed 15 July 15

Had plenty time for breakfast as our horse riding was not till 9am.

We both enjoyed our rides although my horse was somewhat frisky and had me somewhat twisted - we went round with 2 Canadians of a similar age to me.

Travelled the busier road to Cache Creek as we were told to expect something special (we were dissappointed). We did enjoy a meal there, however, where we both had breakfast themes.

Then proceeded to Lillooet where we stopped at campsite about 15.30.

JUST BEFORE REACHING CAMPSITE AT LILLOET

OUR MOTORHOME WAS THE MIDDLE OF THE 3

Walked along river, where we spotted a nest on bridge (hawk's nest perhaps). Gave some dodgy(simple) guy 4 dollars & were then worried it may have been a mistake.

Dave did 214 Kms.

Thu 16 July 15

Filled up with water & emptied black & grey tanks.

Drove through Lillooet and stopped at railway station to investigate possibility of journeying on Kaoham shuttle, which runs daily & twice on Fridays. Proceeded through town to the shops plaza and purchased provisions & then waited for view of Kaoham shuttle but unfortunately we were on the wrong part of the track so was a complete waste of time - returned to station and lo & behold shuttle was waiting in the station.

SHUTTLE ON INSIDE & FROM OUTSIDE

CAUGHT A GLIMPSE OF SHUTTLE MAKING ITS WAY ALONG THE LAKE

Proceeded towards Whistler on twisty mountain road.

Stopped for rest at rickety bridge and for night at lay-by by Lake Duffy.

Jerry did 63 Kms.

Fri 17 July 15

Left Lake Duffy approx 09.10.

BREAKFASTED AT LAKE DUFFY

Pulled up at Lake Joffre, visited Lower Lake & then made for Middle Lake up steep but well maintained path.

SCENIC LOWER LAKE JOFFRE

BETWEEN LAKES

MIDDLE LAKE - TOOK ABOUT 80 MINS TO REACH

We then proceeded along 97 through Whistler to Alice Lake Resort where we swam.

We continued on a little way, finally finding a spot in Squamish at Klamanie Campsite (crowded site).

Dave did 149 Kms.
