The plan: Ride from Ottawa to Ushuaia between April and January then turn around and take a new route north, returning to Ottawa sometime in the early summer of 2018. It will be an endless summer, well three summers in a row anyway. This is a big deal for two Canadians! Welcome to our trip log. We’ll put details, photos and updates of our upcoming motorcycle trip through the Americas here. Departure date is 04 April 2017 unless the weather delays us. We will be leaving from Ottawa so anything is possible.

Our purpose for travel is to interact with people, to experience the rich culture south of here and to make new friends. We want to be more than merely “alien observers” passing through. We understand the importance of being good ambassadors for Canadian values of respect and inclusion. We will experience, first hand, what it means to be a visible minority. We hope that our understanding of and compassion for fellow human beings, as global citizens, will grow. We are committed to possessing the open attitudes and the language skills needed to accomplish these goals.
