This is a vast series of caves showing extraordinary ice and rock formations, majestic columns, an underground waterfall, and a glacier. It is the largest ice cave in the world extending more than 42 km. The walls are smooth and lined with ice that, in places, are 20 m. Frozen waterfalls, stalactites, stalagmites, and ice formations serve as a much-visited tourist attraction. Open to tourists from May 1st until late October with a guided 75-minute tour. Wrap up warm; average temperature is 0°C and lower.
