The STF Kolarbyn eco-lodges are located in the thick of Sweden’s woods and are not your typical hostels.

Blasius Woda guesthouse, on the beach.

Great basic homestay. Basic facilities but great location on a peaceful beach. Very cheap, Blasius cooks what ever you ask for and cooks too much for you to eat.

A nice hotel to stay in.  But at 60 Euro a night it was a little on the expensive side when you are on a budget.

Camp site was ok, not a lot for me to do, maybe due to the time of year I was there (early Nov). There was not even anyone to pay.

Great location on the lake, only 35 mins from Bariloche (if you need to go into town ). Take OFF in late summer. Good gravel / dirt road to get there, basic restaurant as well.

Mamas Home

Mamas House run by a Spaniard, Jose. Excellent hostel, with a great vibe. Jose and staff work very hard to create a great atmosphere. Strict curfew at 11 pm, great breakfasts (change everyday).

Dorms and privates, we had 4 bed bunks, private with pvt bath 520mxpn comfortable but a little dark. Kitchen and seating areas good, however 4 ring burner means waiting your turn to cook.

An active volcano which can be reached from the small mountain village of Cemoro Lawang. From here, it is a 45-minute walk or you can take an organized tour by jeep.

Mount Fuji

At 3,776 metres, Mt. Fuji is Japan’s highest mountain and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The perfectly formed and symmetrical cone is, more often than not, covered with snow.

Charyn Canyon

Grand Canyon

Ruins of León Viejo

Situated near the volcano of Momotombo, this 31.87-hectare archeological site was founded in 1524 and was one of the first European settlements in the New World.

Khotyn Fortresses

Petroglyphs within the Archaeological Landscape of Tamgaly

The Devil's Nose Train

La Amistad International Park

Tiger cats, pumas, jaguars, and rare birds, such as The Umbrella Bird, Three-Wattled Bellbird, Resplendent Quetzal and eagles (Crested, Harpy and Silver-Throated Jay), can be seen.

Okapi Wildlife Reserve

The Okapi Wildlife Reserve is a UNESCO World Heritage Site where there are a variety of birds and 52 mammals.

Soomaa National Park

The Visitors Centre is situated at Tõramaa. The park contains roe deer, wild boars, lynx, beavers, elk, brown bears and wolves.

Montecristo National Park

At an altitude of 2,500 metres and 100 percent humidity, this large rain forest hosts a diversity of flora and fauna.

Abuko Nature Reserve

Gambia’s first Nature Reserve is a tropical forest of 259 acres.

Katchikally Crocodile Pool

This sacred pool has become one of Gambia’s top tourist attractions. Home to over 100 wild crocodiles, they are well-fed and said to be docile.

Liwonde National Park

Home to impala, elephants, waterbuck, crocodiles, buffalo, hippopotamus, and a wide variety of birdlife, this national park has two main lodges: Chinguni and Mvuu.

Banc d'Arguin National Park

A nature reserve that protects natural resources and the fishing waters which are among the richest in the western area of Mauritania.

The Niassa Reserve

This nature reserve is very difficult to reach and visitors are required to be totally self-sufficient with food, medical supplies, and communications.

Etosha National Park

This is the third largest game reserve in the world. Elephant, giraffe, zebra, springbok, and wildebeest can be seen.

Cape Cross Seal Reserve

This is the largest breeding place in the world for the Cape Fur Seal, but seals are resident throughout the year. The bulls visit the colony only in October.

Chitwan National Park

Situated within the sub-tropical Inner Terai Lowlands, this 360-square-mile park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Yankari National Park

Elephants, baboons, bushbucks, buffalo, waterbucks, crocodile, oribi, roan antelope, hippopotamus, and various types of monkeys can be seen.

Eco-Reserve Mbatovi

Only open on weekends and public holidays, this reserve contains pure waterfalls, natural caves and hundreds of species of birds, reptiles, amphibians, and reptiles.

Danube Delta

About 300 bird species live in this area, including white-tailed eagles, cormorants, and glossy ibis.

Kruger National Park

This park covers nearly two million hectares and was established in 1898 to protect wildlife, bushman rock paintings, and archeological sites.

A good  town to stop over for a night or two on your trip.

A nice park, walks along the river, quite a few memorials and sights from the Bosnian Conflict.

Jajce

A nice walled town with some good waterfalls in the town and on the outskirts.  I wish I had stayed the night in this area as it was really nice.  But I only managed a few hours.

Banja Luka Town and Castle

A large town in with a Castle in the middle of it.  The town as quite prominante in the recent conflict, there is also a Cathedral in the town

Budva Old town is a nice place to visit.  It is right on the coast.  There are a few cafe bars and restaurants to sit, relax and enjoy the nice chilled out atmosphere.

Ostrog Monastery

Ostrog Monastery is a wonderful place to visit.  The Monastery is built into the side of a mountain and offers some great views.

The Namibia Parks campground is great, has paid internet. I recommend staying in the park campground as you can start off earlier in the morning before the outside gate opens.
