Built in the 13th century, the Hofburg Imperial Palace acted as the seat of the emperors for six centuries. Here you can see the opulent private quarters, the Lipizzaner Horses of the Spanish Riding School, the Treasury, and the Gothic Imperial Chapel where the Vienna Boys Choir sing at High Mass on a Sunday. There are also many museums that are open to the public.
