Gandzasar Monastery

Protected by high walls, this monastery complex contains living quarters, graves, and a cathedral. Described as a "pearl of architecture", it has bas- reliefs depicting Adam and Eve, and the Crucifixion. It was constructed in the 13th century, but has been restored throughout the years.
