This UNESCO World Heritage Site contains thousands of Neolithic rock engravings dating back 12,000 years. They depict antelope and bull hunting scenes, travelling on reed boats, dancing women, and various traditions of the culture. Constellations and sketches of animals are also featured. Discovered only in the 1930s, the area also contains burial mounds and graves. The Gaval-Dashy is a stone that rings when struck, like a gong.
