Waterloo - small village south of Brussels

A re-enactment of the Battle of Waterloo takes place annually in this small village in June, on the original battle field. Over 1,000 people take part to form the regiments in full period dress. During the first evening there is a dramatic sound and lights show over the area. You can also visit the recreated village of Napoleonic bivouacs that are set up, view daily life in the camp, and watch the changing of the guard and patrols.
