Brunei Museum

The Brunei Museum is 6.5 km east of the heart of the city. It displays the cultural heritage of Brunei which includes brassware, baskets, and musical instruments. Also shown is a large display of Chinese ceramics and a natural history of the area. The Islamic Gallery displays jade sword handles encrusted with jewels, silverwork, jewellery and ceramics from the Islamic world. There are models of different oil rigs and models that show the oil extraction process.
