Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque

A beautiful mosque which is famous for its gold plated dome and built in 1958. It is situated in the centre of Brunei's capitol city of Bandar, near the waterfront within spacious grounds. Non-Muslims may view the ornate building from a restricted area. Women must wear a long coat which is provided at the entrance and cover their hair. Removal of shoes is mandatory. There are certain times of the day where entrance is restricted, so check before you go. You can also visit the large pond where there is a large stone construction in the middle resembling an ornate ship.
