Set within deep jungle, the park can be accessed with a tour arranged in the town of Rurrenabaque. Jaguar, the titi monkey, giant otters, spectacled bear, wolves, and pink river dolphins may be seen along the banks of the river. The area is prolific with bird life and is said to contain more than 11 percent of the world’s species, including the Andean Condor and military macaw. Amphibious species also abound. There are Indian tribes in the park that live in the traditional way.
