Copacabana and Ipanema Beaches

Copacabana Beach stretches for 4 km, starting at Princesa Isabel Avenue and ending at Posto Seis it: Diabo ("Devil") Beach. Many hotels, apartments and restaurants cater for the fun-loving, sun-seeker. Every Sunday at Ipanema Beach, the road closest to the beach is closed to allow people to stroll, rollerskate, ride bikes and skateboard. This beach is divided into segments by lifeguard towers. A good beach for surfing, volleyball, and football.
