The Rockies are composed of limestone and shale and much of the range is a World Heritage Site. Stretching for more than 4,800 km, it hosts five national parks and stunning landscapes of glaciers, peaks, waterfalls, caves, canyons, and lakes. High peaks are Mount Robson at 3,954 m (12,972 ft.) and Mount Columbia at 3,747 m (12,293 ft.).
