Set within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this is one of the country’s most visited sites. From the panoramic platforms of the Sphinx Observatory, one can see the Great Aletsch Glacier, the largest ice field of the Alps. The Jungfrau Railway is a 9-km-long engineering masterpiece with a 7-km tunnel containing two stations. The journey covers an altitude change of almost 1,400 metres. At 3,454 metres above sea level, the Mountain Station is the highest railway station in Europe.
