Guilin

With the town surrounded by two rivers, four lakes and surrounding mountains, this is one of the best tourist destinations in China. The landscape of crystal-clear water, caves, stones of various shapes and unique rockeries have been portrayed by many an artist over the centuries. You can take a trip on the jade green Li River which transports you through a land of mist, mountains, humpback and eroded karst formations. The river winds its way past pretty villages showing local life as it has been for centuries. Many tourist attractions surround this area.
