Pinar del Rio

Known as "The Garden of Cuba" in the Vinales Valley, Pinar del Rio is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The valley itself is beautiful with caves and underground rivers. It is a fertile valley surrounded by hills known primarily for growing tobacco. An insight into farming methods that have not changed much for centuries, rural life and culture and a chance to see the Bohios, which are the characteristic houses of rural Cuba.
