The capital of Estonia is full of streets paved with cobbles, red-tiled roofs, Baroque and medieval architecture, castles and church spires. It is said to be "The New Prague", although more compact. In the centre of Old Tallinn is Raekoja Plats, the square that has been the hub of local life since the 13th century. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Five-hundred-year-old merchant houses, tiny lanes, outdoor markets and medieval workshops where locals make jewellery, ceramics, glassworks and quilts. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
