Simien Mountains National Park
13.255993, 38.217078
Ethiopia
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is formed from massive erosion throughout the years. The dramatic scenery consists of a rocky massif which has been forged by streams and gorges that slope down to wide valleys and grassland. Massive pinnacles of solidified rock are set amongst mountains, gorges, precipices and chasms. The mountains are home to the walia ibex, gelada baboons, and the rarely seen Ethiopian wolves.
