Buckingham Palace

During August and September, when the Queen is not in residence, the lavish State Rooms are open to the public. The Palace has a total of 775 rooms, nineteen of which are open to the public. The tour includes the Picture Gallery, the Throne Room, and the impressive Grand Staircase. A special exhibition is shown each year with past exhibits of Her Majesty’s wedding dress, and the coronation gown and evening dresses. The tour is completed with a walk in the south area of the gardens past a lake. The Changing of the Guard usually takes place daily at 11:30 AM, but may alter at times.
