One of the oldest continuously-inhabited sites within the world, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is the headquarters of the Georgian Orthodox and Apostolic Church. Amongst the numerous churches there is also the 11th century Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, the 6th century Jvari Monastery, the 3rd century Armaztsikhe fortress, the Acropolis, the 11th century Samtavro Monastery, the 14th century Bebris Tsikhe, and the Garden of Mikheil Mamulashvili.
