Gambia’s first Nature Reserve is a tropical forest of 259 acres. Vervet monkeys, red Colobus monkeys, red patas, bush babies, crocodiles, forest antelope, ground squirrels and several types of rodent. The forest is also home to 300 bird species. Around 50 types of mature tropical trees are recorded. In some areas, there is a thick tropical canopy. Early morning is the best time to visit.
