Albert Market in Banjul

Situated on Liberation Avenue, the market was named after Queen Victoria’s husband. Goods of all types can be bought here from beautifully designed fabrics, carved wooden masks, and fresh produce. Open from 8 AM to 7 PM, stalls and shops display the goods amongst alleys. There are three distinct areas of produce: household which sells clothing and all houseware items; the produce market selling fresh fruit, veg, meat, fish and dried goods; and the tourist market that sells crafts.
