Discovered in 1870, this waterfall has a drop of 251 m and is considered to be one of the most powerful and spectacular in the world. It is about three times the height of Niagara Falls and twice the height of Victoria Falls. An average of 663 cubic-metres-per-second flows over a series of very steep cascades with the initial drop over a sandstone and conglomerate cliff.
