Shell Beach

This beach stretches about 145 km between the Pomeroon and Waini Rivers. Tiny shells make it an ideal habitat for sea turtles to make their nests. During March and July, four of the world’s eight turtle species come to shore at night, dig nests, and lay up to ten dozen eggs.
