Dragon Boat Race/ Carnival
22.290487, 114.165924
Usually held in June, this traditional boat race has developed into one large carnival, but has its roots in ancient folk rituals. Boats are decorated with Chinese dragon heads and tails. The rowers paddle to the beating of drums. Competition is fierce and the teams are cheered on by the crowds. Many events are also held on shore with a beer festival, music, and roving performers adding to the ambience and vivacity of the event.|
