Iceland

This geyser usually erupts in intervals of between 5-10 minutes and may reach a height of 30 m. Surrounded by sulphur landscape which is boiling and dotted with hot and cold springs, steaming vents, and rare specimens of primitive plant life. Before an eruption, the pool gently pulsates and then the steam from below forces the water into a dome shape, expelling the water in the pool towards the sky.
