Renowned for the magnificent frescoes that remain on the ceilings, this UNESCO World Heritage Site was built in the 8th century. The frescoes depict nudes, hunting, musicians, fruit, and a representation of the astrological zodiac. The building that is currently present is just the foundation of what was a larger complex. It is made from limestone and basalt and is considered to be one of the most leading examples of Islamic art and architecture.
