Wadi Rum and Aqaba

Known as the Valley of the Moon, this magnificent and majestic desert features natural rock formations, sandstone mountains that reach to 1,750 m, massive canyons, and Bedouin villages. Used by Lawrence of Arabia for his base camp in WWI, the subsequent film was made here. Aqaba is a popular beach resort with coral reefs and is a place for snorkelling and diving.
