Himeji Castle

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a white-plastered wall castle built in the 17th century and has been featured in Hollywood films. Originally, it had three moats for defense, but now only the inner moat and parts of the central moat exist. A designated Special Historic Site is situated within the middle moat and five structures within the castle are named as National Treasures.
