Mount Fuji
35.394148, 138.732209
At 3,776 metres, Mt. Fuji is Japan’s highest mountain and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The perfectly formed and symmetrical cone is, more often than not, covered with snow. Station 5 is accessible by road. Fuji Five Lake offers a good view (northern foot) or the hot spring resort of Hakone. If you're up for a 4-8 h hike, you can climb mountain paths that lead to the top. It is open during July and August only.
