Charyn Canyon

The Charyn River runs through this stupendous, 80-km-long, deep gorge which has really odd rock formations. These formations make it look as if castles and towers are perched on top of the rocky walls. The rock walls have different strata levels which show the different ages and origins. The gorge lies within the Charyn National Park.
