Old Vilnius is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its wide variety of architectural styles, including Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque. It is located on the left shore of the river Neris. The main cobbled thoroughfare is home to buskers and folk artists. Narrow streets lead to many churches and the cathedral. Close by is the newly-restored Royal Palace and the Gediminas Castle.
