Place Jemaa el-Fna

This historic square is the daily venue for snake charmers, traditional water-sellers (in their distinctive costume and leather water bags), food stalls (with all types of aromas), dancers, musicians, magicians, and storytellers telling Berber tales. Nightfall brings the fascinating scene to life with twinkling lights, exotic smells and sounds. It is recognised by UNESCO as one of the projects for "Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity".
