Naadam Festival

Held annually on the National Holiday of July 11-13, this festival celebrates the prowess of the horseman, the wrestler, and the archer. The occasion has impressive parades with traditional musicians and dancers, mounted cavalry, monks, athletes, and military processions. Attendees wear colourful traditional dress. The horse race is held on The Steppes and 1,000 horses participate with the average age of the rider being nine-years-old. You can also have a go at sheep knucklebone tiddlywinks which is a popular game.
