Ulaanbaatar Monasteries

Many Buddhist monasteries may be seen in this city, including the Bogdo-Gegeen Palace and the Gandan Monastery which is the largest temple and monastery complex in Mongolia. The enormous Buddha, standing 26 metres high, is the largest in Asia. The country’s cultural heritage is preserved within the Choijin Lama Temple Museum and the National Museum of Mongolian History.
