Kungoni Centre of Culture and Art

This museum is one of only a few within the country that features the life and culture of the three main tribes in Malawi – the Ngoni, Yao, and Chewa. The Carving Centre encourages local artists to produce work that is sold throughout the country. There are reconstructions of traditional village life and a collection of over 400 Gule Wamkulu masks, which is one of the best collections in the world.
