El Tajín

This pre-Columbian site is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the most intact ancient cities in the country. The 1,000-year-old city is remarkably intact with a main market square, 20 ball courts, noble residences, palaces, and the amazing "Pyramid of Niches. The Cumbre Tajín Festival is held there annually in March which features traditional cultural events and concerts from popular musicians.
