Archaeological Heritage of the Lenggong Valley

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is famous for the 11,000-year-old prehistoric skeleton which was found here. The Perak Man, estimated age to be between forty and forty-five, is about 154 cm high and has a congenital deformity. He was found buried in the fetal position with both legs folded upwards to his chest. The skeleton is said to be the one of the most complete prehistoric skeletons found in Southeast Asia. Items that were buried with him include riverine shells and stone tools.
